Hi, I am Songho Lee, a Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), advised by Prof. Seunghwa Ryu. I previously received my M.S. from Pusan National University and worked as a researcher at the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM), where I focused on condition monitoring and fault diagnosis for autonomous ship engine systems.
My research bridges mechanical engineering domain knowledge, physics-based modeling, and AI. I focus on developing AI-CAE and Physics-Informed Machine Learning (PIML) frameworks for condition diagnosis, forward analysis, and inverse design. My current research interests include mechanical-domain AI agent systems that automate engineering workflows to reduce repetitive analysis, enhance user convenience, and support decision-making.
